The 'Sandwich Approach"
We all end up needing to have a conversation that can become uncomfortable. We may have to share with someone our unmet expectations, disappointment, or actual annoyance. This could be with a direct report, our boss, a peer, a spouse, or maybe even a child. No one likes these situations, but we must deal with them appropriately in order to address the issue at hand.
The Dining Room Table is The New Cubicle
Work-From-Home (WFH) – Hybrid Work Spaces – Home Office – whatever you are going to call it now – you probably have noticed: It is a change that is here to stay. Many people - and companies - are forced to consider different workplace options. While there are quite a few people excited to go back into an office (that they don’t live in), many are liking the new concept of working from home. Based on my clients who work for major companies world-wide, it seems to be split about 50/50 regarding going into an office or working from home.

Do you get easily distracted when you should be working on a task?
Do you find yourself taking breaks more frequently than you know you should?

Keeping it all together...
Many of us are getting a better handle on keeping this whole 'work from home' thing working. I wanted to share a few tips in a new format to help you even more. Hopefully you can watch this and take a tip or two to make your life just a little easier.
Working From Home a Challenge?
If you are also still working from home and/or schooling from home – finding a quiet place to do what you need may be a challenge. I have heard clients tell me that with kids in school online as well as their own working from home situation – there just isn’t enough space for everyone to do what they need to. This attached article was shared with me and I felt it was worth passing along.
How much do you REALLY need?
We are all spending a lot of time inside our homes. For those whose homes are a disorganized clutter zone, this could be stressful and result in more anxiety than isolating already brings to the table. If you are constantly tripping over stuff on the floor, and having to look at stacks of papers and magazines on top of various surfaces, or have counters filled with ‘who knows what’ then this needs to change.
Incentivize Your Team While Working From Home
We all have to create new ways to stay motivated while working from home. For those who are self-employed and basically alone – this can difficult if you are a solopreneur. However, many people, myself included, have worked like this for years, so there is little difference.
#Accountability Partnering – While #WorkingFromHome!
The idea of working alongside others doing the same thing to keep motivated is not a new idea. And there is research behind the concept showing that people doing similar tasks at the same time creates a kind of synergy propelling everyone toward their own goals.
Stuck At Home
For most people being at home hour after hour and day after day is maddening. As it turns out however, many who ordinarily work from home (like my#) are not in that camp as this is not unusual. Admittedly, it is a bit unusual not to go out much at all, but working from home and transitioning from ‘work mode’ to ‘personal life mode’ is something I mastered many years ago.
Productivity While Working From Home
Someone in your office coughed and now everyone is asked to work remotely. So, now you must figure out how to successfully work from home. For many people working in an office environment provides much needed structure and can be a place with fewer distractions – or at least different kinds of distractions. So, how can you create a suitable work environment in your living or dining room?
